Diverse Voices & Portraits

Stories of diversity, discrimination & inclusion

About

Embrace BC

Diverse Voices and Portraits is a partnership project, collecting and sharing stories and portraits from various BC communities around themes of diversity, discrimination & inclusion.

The objective of this project is to share stories about discrimination in BC to work towards eliminating racism and encourage inclusion. Through hearing multicultural experiences & stories  from different communities & generations, our hope is to develop greater tolerance and understanding of each other. The intent is to spread awareness about racism that still exists in our communities and to open dialogues around the subject cross-culturally and inter-generationally in BC. Our goal is to create accessible and artful educational content ( portraits,  audio and short films) that are participant-driven and professionally created.
